Mahfouz focuses his practice on emerging companies, venture capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. Mahfouz has broad experience representing companies, entrepreneurs and investors from the company formation stage and continuing through the company exit and has served as outside general counsel to a number of clients. Mahfouz has represented companies across a wide variety of industries including financial technology, software, and life sciences, as well as various prominent venture capital firms.
Prior to joining Litwin Kach, Mahfouz worked at Gunderson Dettmer and Cooley, both leading venture capital law firms for the technology industry. Mahfouz began his legal career at Davis Polk & Wardwell where he worked on complex corporate transactions representing public companies.
Mahfouz received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University. Mahfouz is admitted to practice law in New York and California, and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
